Bob Webb was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He grew up on the water just south of the state’s capital in Alligator Point and the surrounding Wakulla Springs area.
Bob joined the United State Coast Guard in 1976 and served over seven years at sea, most notably on a 180 foot buoy tender. After 30 years, Bob retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
While active-duty military, Bob and his family completed multiple tours in Ketchikan. Falling in love with Alaska, Bob and his wife, Susan, have live in The Last Frontier for over 20 years. They continue to live on the water, regularly being awed by the wildlife and beauty.
Prior to becoming a fishing charter boat captain, Bob held a 100 ton unlimited caption’s license. Today, he continues to be USCG certified and licensed, and fishes commercially in the Ketchikan area. Targeted fish include: chum or dog, sockeye, Chinook or king, coho or silver, and pink salmon. Bob prefers to be on the water and enjoys sharing his passions for fishing and boating, along with his understanding of Southeast Alaska winds and tides with others.
